Coastward began when its founder, after several years living between the Lamai coast and Europe, noticed how difficult it was for people arriving on Koh Samui to find well-maintained, honestly presented properties. The market had no shortage of listings — but it had a shortage of straightforward guidance.
The first few years were spent building relationships with landlords and property owners who cared about their homes as much as we cared about finding the right tenants. Over time, we developed a small, selective portfolio — beachside and hillside — and a reputation for being direct about what a property is and isn't suited to.
Today, Coastward works with visitors staying for a few weeks, people relocating for several months, and long-term residents who want a calm presence overseeing their property when they travel. The scale remains intentionally small. We'd rather do a few things well than many things adequately.
